OUR CORE VALUES:

FAITH

We believe that all should find FAITH in God! Speaking on FAITH, Paul writes, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” -Hebrews 11:1- Paul continues in the verses that follow to give examples from the Old Testament of God’s people holding firm in FAITH to God’s promises. Our FAITH is built on our trust that God always fulfills His promises even when we may not see them. Through FAITH in Jesus, we are free! “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.” -Roman’s 5:1-3- We hope that all would take that first step forward into FAITH in God. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Fearless Church, let’s continue to take steps of FAITH together as we stand on the promises of God!

FAMILY

We believe in being part of a FAMILY. The word FAMILY means something different to each of us, and with it comes a wide range of memories and emotions. Every FAMILY is unique, and our experiences are equally so. No matter your family history, there is good news. God wants you in His FAMILY! “God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” -1 Corinthians 1:9- In God’s FAMILY, you are loved, you are treasured, and you matter! Paul tells us that we each have a God-appointed place in the church FAMILY. “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” -1 Corinthians 12:27- We are meant to do life as a FAMILY, better and stronger together. “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” -Ecclesiastes 4:9-12- Fearless Church, know that you are FAMILY, you are loved, and we are better and stronger together!

FREEDOM

We believe that all should live in FREEDOM! Scripture tells us that true FREEDOM is only found in Jesus Christ. "Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do." -Acts 13:38-39- This is FREEDOM for today! Oswald Chambers said it well, "God never guides us at some time in the future, but always here and now. Realize that the Lord is here now, and the freedom you receive is immediate." Having FREEDOM in the here and now means we have already been set free from addiction, gambling, and pornography; all sin. We now have to choose to step forward into our new lives of true FREEDOM. Paul encourages us to avoid turning back, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." -Galatians 5:1- Stand firm in your FREEDOM, and know that at Fearless Church, you are not alone in the battle! We are meant to walk forward in life together, even when the road gets bumpy and the days get long. Fearless Church, you are loved!

FORWARD

We believe that all should move FORWARD in purpose! Paul writes about moving FORWARD in purpose in his letter to the church in Philippi. “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:12-13- Each of us is walking away from a different past, but we are walking FORWARD to the same future in Jesus together! Max Lucado says, “God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile.” On days when the journey feels hard and moving FORWARD seems a task too far, remember where your strength comes from! “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” -Isaiah 40:31- Like Paul, we know our race leads to Heaven, but we are still moving FORWARD in purpose in this life. D.L. Moody reminds us, “If God is your partner, make your plans BIG!” Fearless Church, we are moving FORWARD, planning BIG, and YOU are coming with us!

OUR BELIEFS:

At Fearless Church we hold to the philosophy, “In our essential beliefs, we have unity. In our non-essential beliefs, we have liberty. In all our beliefs, we show love.” These are the essentials we believe:

BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word for all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

See: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5

GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

See: Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

See: Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need of Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

See: 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-7; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

PEOPLE

Men and women are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, we are all marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This attitude separates people from God. We also believe that those who repent of their sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are spiritually born again to new life.

See: Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift from God. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into one’s life by faith.

See: Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26

ETERNITY

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

See: John 3:16; John 12:25; John 3:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 18:8; Matthew 25:46
